Calderdale Valley of Sanctuary

Their mission is to create a culture of welcome for refugees and people seeking asylum, making Calderdale a safe and inclusive place for all. We support their mission and hope that we too can provide a welcoming and safe space for all who find themselves in Calderdale and enjoy singing.

Music for the Many

Music for the Many are a charity that provides instrumental tuition and other musical opportunities on an equitable and inclusive basis, free of charge, to children and young people in our community. Most of the children, young people and families we work with would not otherwise have access to these opportunities.

We support them by donating proceeds from some of our concerts to them and by giving the young people they work with a chance to show their talent as performers.

Todmorden Food Drop In

They are a a completely independent food bank who provide food for people who cannot afford to buy it - whatever the reason. Todmorden Food Drop In is open at Tod College in the centre of Todmorden every Saturday from 10am – 12 noon, using the entrance at the side next to Aldi.

We support them
by members bringing in food items in the few weeks running up to Christmas. We also donate all of our tea and coffee collection money from November onwards and the proceeds from our Christmas Craft Fair.

St Mary’s Church, Todmorden

St. Mary’s church is a welcoming, inclusive, friendly and fun community who share a faith in Jesus Christ. It is a hub for local events, activities and worship. It is a place where all of humanity, all of the community can gather together. They are a very diverse church and diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of their personal values. They welcome everyone who wishes to participate in any of their services or events.

We raise money for them by donating proceeds from concerts we hold there and by singing at some of their events. Their vicar, the Reverend Dr Catherine Shelley is also a member of our choir.
